At Quest Events we are very grateful for our continued success but try not to forget those less fortunate.

The MAWA fund was established by Quest Events director Patricia Rochford in 2004. The goal of MAWA is to help communities in third world countries to build, fit out and man schools to help the communities change the future from within.
Patricia and fellow director Len Regan implemented the first project on an amazing island called Myende while on safari in RAWANDA. We came across 127 children, one teacher, 3 books, no building, desks or toilets. When it rained the kids had to go home where they were inevitably going to be put to work.
Now with the help of the MAWA fund they have a new school building, toilets, a wide range of school books, 4 teachers and a future to look forward to.
Another project will be chosen shortly and we will need more very welcome support from our suppliers, clients and friends.
MAWA is the name of a very special Chimpanzee we came across on safari in Rawanda on a 100 acre sanctuary island. To us he represented a lost cause finally rescued against the odds.

The MAWA fund policy is to invest in small projects that can be completed within the financial limitations of the fund.
